X-Files News
Director of Photography Bill Roe was nominated for an American Cinematography Award in the episodic television category for his work on "Patience" (8X04). Winners will be announced on February 18.

Corey Kaplan, production designer of the episode "Without" (8X02), was nominated for Excellence in Production Design in Television: Category I - Episode of a Single-Camera Television Series at the Art Directors' Guild Awards. Ceremonies for the Art Directors' Guild Awards will occur on February 24.

The Lone Gunmen spin-off premieres on March 4 on FOX, and it looks as though the show will be taking the place of The X-Files for the month of March.

The X-Files is up for Drama Series of the Year at the third annual TV Guide Awards, to be broadcast on FOX on March 7.

According to the Associated Press, a fire was sparked on January 30 by pyrotechnic special effects on the set of David's new movie,
Evolution. The fire occurred when crews set off 5 fireballs 15 feet in diameter, and 1 of the fireballs ignited the scenery. No one was injured thanks to the quick work of the local fire department. Firefighters were standing by during the stunt in the event that something might go wrong, and the quickly extinguished the blaze. Evolution was expected to resume production Wednesday.

The House of Mirth has given her the possibility of an Oscar nod! Nominations will be announced February 13. Congratulations, Gillian!

Gillian is nominated for best actress in a drama series for the 3rd annual TV Guide Awards, to be broadcast on FOX on March 7.

The SAG Awards nominations have been announced, and Gillian has been nominated for best actress in a drama series for The X-Files. The SAG Awards air March 11 on TNT.
